The Story Behind
the Music
I grew up in North Holland surrounded by the sound of guitars. When I was 13, I picked one up myself, inspired by my father, not knowing it would become the way I understand and express the world.
At 16, during a difficult time in my life, I wrote my first piece of music. I didn’t have the words for what I was feeling, but somehow the guitar did. That moment shaped everything that followed. Since then, composing has been my way of processing, storytelling, and connecting, both with myself and with others.
My music lives somewhere between melody and atmosphere. I’m drawn to lyrical lines, rhythmic movement, and cinematic textures, often influenced by different musical cultures and genres. Every piece I write is tied to a moment, a place, or a feeling, a way of capturing something that would otherwise pass unnoticed.
On stage, I like to create an intimate space where music and story come together. I move between original compositions and arrangements, often sharing the thoughts or experiences behind them, inviting the audience into the world behind the notes.
Over the years, I’ve had the chance to tour across Europe and Asia and share the stage with musicians who have deeply inspired me, including Tommy Emmanuel and Peter Finger. I’ve released several albums, from my early duo project Leap of Faith to my solo album Atlas, and most recently the EP Phases, a collection of pieces inspired by the changing seasons.
Alongside performing and composing, I work as a content creator for Siccas Guitars, where I combine music and videography to showcase beautiful instruments and connect with a global guitar community. I’m also the co-founder of MusiSHEans, an international tour dedicated to creating space and visibility for female guitarists.
At its core, everything I do comes back to the same idea: that music can hold space for emotion, for memory, and for connection, even when words fall short.
"I believe the guitar is one of the most intimate instruments. It speaks in whispers, and every note is a conversation between the performer and the listener."
